Seminars

During the semester we have a high energy seminar and a lunch seminar. In addition to these two seminars we participate in a joint theoretical high energy theory seminar in Newe Shalom. The joint seminar takes place on Tuesdays from 10:30 until 13:30 and includes two talks and lunch. This seminar is attended by the high energy groups of all the Israeli institutions and usually attracts a crowd of roughly twenty participants.

Non-planar Scattering amplitudes in N=4 SYM theoryAbstract I’ll discuss the paper 1802.09395 where we study the first non-planar correction to gluon scattering amplitudes in N=4 SYM theory. The correction takes the form of a double trace[...]

2-Group Global SymmetriesAbstractSymmetries of QFTs are naturally organized into n-form symmetries, according to the dimensionality of the operators they act on. After reviewing the concept of Generalized Global Symmetries, I will describe more intricate structures symmetries can form:[...]

Einstein gravity from conformal field theoryAbstract: We will analyse the Regge limit of certain four point functions in CFTs and will argue that holographic CFTs must be described by the Einstein gravity.

Unitarity, causality and ghostbusting in non-equilibrium effective field theoryAbstractOne challenge of effective field theory (EFT) is to characterize the low-energy behavior of a quantum system while accounting for the fundamental properties of quantum field theory. In this[...]
