Abstract: We will explore aspects of path integral contours that compute out-of-time order correlation functions in QFT. In particular, we will describe how these contours naturally generalize the Schwinger-Keldysh formalism, and develop some useful ways of encoding correlator identities both in general and in the special case of thermal equilibrium.
