Welcome to the physics graduate studies open day at the Technion.

The Department of Physics at the Technion is engaged in cutting edge science throughout diverse fields of physics. The home of distinguished members of the American and European physical physical societies, Israel prize, Landau prize and other numerous prize winners – the distinguished faculty of today engages in teaching and research that spans the whole range of physics disciplines. The physics faculty raises the next generation of top scientists. Our graduates continue to prestigious postdoc positions in leading institutes, and later become leaders in the academic and industrial world in Israel and world-wide.

Our most important resources are our people, engaged in science in our labs, offices, classrooms and libraries and making use of state-of-the-art facilities available for research in the faculty and throughout the Technion. The Technion features diverse opportunities for graduate students through hand-on exploration and research in both theoretical and experimental physics. We pursue fundamental questions at all scales ranging from understanding particle physics and string theory, through condensed matter, atomic and molecular physics, the nano-world and biophysics; to the physics of light and light-matter interactions, plasma physics, and the largest scale structure of the universe, the origin and evolution of planets, stars and galaxies.

We invite you to take the opportunity and visit us at the open-day
