It was recently proposed that this problem can be partially resolved by incorporating a process of spontaneous disentanglement into quantum dynamics. According to this hypothesis, time evolution is governed by a modified master equation having an added nonlinear term that deterministically generates disentanglement. The added nonlinear term may give rise to some dynamical instabilities that are otherwise theoretically excluded.
