Experimental systems operating in the Cavity-QED regime can serve as models for qbits as well as sources of entangled photons. Traditional realization of optical Cavity-QED involves discrete photonic modes of a Fabry-Perot cavity coupled to a quantum emitter, generating Rabi-split polaritonic states. However, due to the closed nature of the cavity, only the frequencies of the polaritonic transitions are transmitted, making spectroscopy of the quantum-state-dynamics within the cavity very challenging.
