I propose that some irregular `messy’ planetary nebulae (PNe) owe\u00a0their morphologies to triple-stellar evolution<\/span> where tight binary systems\u00a0are tidally and frictionally destroyed inside the envelope of asym\"NGCptotic giant branch (AGB) stars.
