In the first paper of our group, we show through theory calculations that electron pulse trains emitted from a nanotip can retain their temporal fingerprint at a nearby sample. This will open the door to ultrafast studies of the interaction of slow electrons with light and matter. Our paper has now appeared in the Journal of Physics B, as a part of the special issue Emerging Leaders 2021. Dr. Krüger has been nominated by the journal committee as one of the most exciting early-career researchers within the AMO physics communities.
