Weather

The weather in May is warm, with a little chance of rain. Daytime temperatures are usually about 25 to 28 C.

Remember to bring a hat and sunscreen. You may need a light jacket for the evenings, which are still cool at this time of year.

Rate of Exchange

The rate of exchange varies between $ = 3.7 to 4.0 NIS; Euro = 4.8 to 5.0 NIS; British Pound = 5.5 to 6.3 NIS. There is an ATM at the airport, and also one on Technion campus. There are, of course, ATM’s in the various shopping areas of Haifa.
