I was an active member of the Physics faculty between 1981 and 2016. Over that period of time, I conducted experimental research in Low Temperature Physics and served as head of the Technion Crown Center on Superconductivity. For several years during which I served as the of Dean the Faculty, I presided over the design and construction of the Lidow Complex, the current home of the Faculty. It was befitting that I was later appointed the Lidow Professor in Experimental Physics. I am proud of the 25 graduate students who did research completed their theses in my lab. Doing research with these students was the most enjoyable part of my work. I will mention some of these research projects below.
Currently, I continue to do experimental research on the surface melting of metals. This work is done in collaboration with Prof. Steve Lipson
